Ving Tsun Terminology

This is a complete list of terms written by Wong Shun Leung in his own hand in 1994 with brush and ink. All phonetic spelling (with the exception of Fook Sau which, when rendered in the SL System is a little “dodgy” so the more commonly recognised spelling has been used) adheres to the Sydney Lau System.

Baat Jaam Do – Eight Slashing/Cutting Knives Form

Biu Ji – (Third Form) Pointing Fingers

Biu Sau – Thrusting/Spearing-hand Attack

Bong Sau – Upper-arm Deflection

Cham Kiu – (Second Form) Seeking/Finding The Bridge

Che Jeung – Slanting/Descending Palm-strike

Chi Geuk – Sticky-legs Exercise

Chi Sau – Sticky-hands Exercise

Chiu Ying – Square-on/Facing Concept

Daan (Chi) Sau – Single-hand Chi Sau Exercise

Dai Jeung – Underneath/Lifting-palm Deflection

Dang Geuk – Ascending (Basic Heel) Kick

Dui Gok Ma – Side-facing Stance
