Chief Instructor Morten Ibsen founded The Danish Ving Tsun Federation (Wong Shun Leung lineage) in July 2010. DVTF is an independent organisation that currently comprises of eight schools scattered throughout Denmark.
The membership of DVTF is free for the Ving Tsun schools; the only requirement is that the school instructors train seriously and hard, and that they often visit the DVTF HQ and take part in seminars in order to constantly evolve and improve. Instructors’ Seminars are held several times a year at the DVTF HQ in Odense. Those seminars are of course free for all the organisation’s instructors.
You won’t find instructors with assumed solemnity in the DVTF; instead we are trying to create an ego-free environment built on friendship, honesty and above all a major passion for this amazing martial arts system. The federation’s objective is to teach Ving Tsun in a relaxed and accessible manner, where emphasis is placed on good technique and personal development.
The DVTF is part of a worldwide Ving Tsun family and as an independent organisation, the DVTF often organises seminars by guest teachers. These are normally held at The Danish Ving Tsun Federation’s HQ in Odense. Previous visiting coaches have included, David Peterson and Alan Gibson.
With the formation of DVTF, we hope to raise awareness of our unique system and to meet other like-minded people and create new friendships across borders.
The DVTF offers introductory and thematic seminars, as well as private lessons. For more information, please contact Chief Instructor Morten Ibsen at +45 2046 5299 or use the contact form.
